Default Trading Card Database Transactions

Wondering if anyone has any experience with the transaction section of TCDB.

I have used TCDB as a research tool for some time, but only recently got an account. To my pleasant surprise, a number of my long time, inexpensive but hard to find needs were listed by members as up for sale.

I've tried 6 or 7 transactions in the last 2 weeks, and all either never replied or responded with something like "sorry, I don't actually have the card".

Is this typical?

Someone there supposedly has a 1985 Subway Disc of Rich Gossage available but when I tried to contact them they never responded. I have never seen a 1985 Subway Disc of Rich Gossage but I imagine they exist.

I'm sorry to hear you're not having any luck trading. I don't trade on there myself, but I know a number of people who've had good experiences with trading on there so I don't think that's very typical.

I need to thank you for this thread. Not in hand yet but I just bought three 1985 Subway Discs I need from a TCDB member from their B/S/T section that I looked at last night.

I don't trade on the site, but use the site as a research platform and occasionally post on their forums.

I think there's a core, active group on there that trade a LOT. Then there are some folks who listed a few cards and then lost interest.

I've been on the site for a bit and have made a number of trades / purchases. I have not (hope I am not jinxing myself) had any issues to date. I have quite a few of my cards logged there but it will take me a lifetime to finish. I've put a handful of cards in my trade list but, honestly, most anything in my collection is up for trade (prefer to trade cards where I have multiples copies) for the right deal. I've not put much on my wantlist because, frankly, I want everything .
