Default REA lot 379-any thoughts

Beautiful cards ! Too bad they were attached to an album... Or is it a blessing they were preserved so well? Once someone removes the cards properly I for one would still be interested in them if their appearance is the same. How many or your high grade cards were once attached as these cards are?
Imho Seeing the backs of these cards would be more exciting to me than opening the cigarette pack in lot 1786.

A real world example of the cleaning debate presents itself

I can assure you someone will pay a premium for this lot with the hopes of having these cards removed and winning the "lottery" with some rare backs.

If you look at the previous portion of the collection - they were all common backs.

I think it will be interesting to see if someone soaks the cards (or otherwise removes them) and has them graded.

As Sean pointed out (and in the description of the lot). This has been done to 85 of them already. They really ranged in in grading. It looks like some had some markings from the paper lines left on the back. I wonder if the removal on those cards was done by a "professional" or by the family.

I am embarrassed to admit that I didn't see Sean's post. Regardless of the grade the fronts look very vibrant.

And you can see through the scrapbook paper on several of the cards revealing Sweet Cap backs.
