Default Anybody ever get a bobbing head restored

I have Picked up a pretty beat up black face Detroit Tiger doll and am thinking about have by it restored. Any advice on where to go or what to expect would be appreciated. Or maybe I should just keep as is and put it in the back of the display case.

i have never seen a bobbin head look good that had cracks and breaks like that restored. minor chips and missing color can be repaired but major stuff like yours has just doesn't repair well. i suppose it CAN be done, but i bet you'd pay more for that type of restoration than what you'd pay for a different black face
Tiger in decent shape.

Default Nodder REPAIR

I would contact Joe Marasco. He does amazing work. Depending on what you paid for this one, you should come out okay. I believe he has a web site.

Another person who does amazing repair work is Chris Callan. It will look like it just came out of the box. If interested in a price comparison, DM me and I can give you his contact info.

Default vintage bobbing head doll restoration servive

I would like to offer my services to any of you who collect vintage bobbing head dolls from 1960 - 1975. I have been restoring the vintage paper mache doll for over 20 years and also collect them.
I don't work on the ceramic dolls of the 1980's & 90's. If you have a doll with issues, please email me and send good clear pictures. I will give you a price range estimate for the repair.

I primarily collect vintage Hockey dolls and have an informational website on them where I share pictures and information on the dolls. https://www.vintagehockeybobbingheads.com/index

I also occasionally have dolls for sale that have been repaired. I sell repaired dolls at 50% to 70% of nrmt guide prices.

For you Baseball and football bobbing head collectors, I offer 14" tall, custom made - replicas PROMO or DISPLAY MODEL dolls of your favorite team.

Default Joe Marasco Testimonial

I have used Joe's services to restore many nodders. His ethics, integrity and professional expertise and services are Hall of Fame eligible. As the owner and curator of the Museum, his work complements my private collection. For resto, vote Marasco.

I got my black face Tiger back from Joe. Looks great very happy. The work, cost, and service were all good, I'll definitely do business with him again.

How about a picture of the back?

Joe just did some work for me. I'm very happy.

I did a little amateur restoration. The color matches aren't perfect but they look 100% better, IMO.
