Default Huggins and Scott Auctions Opens Friday 11/27

Huggins and Scott Auctions is excited to offer several key items and baseball card rarities in the upcoming December catalog and Internet auction. The full-color catalog opens with a 1918-1921 Babe Ruth game-used Louisville Slugger baseball bat that has been authenticated and graded by PSA/DNA, followed by an assortment of early baseball cards including a 1910 E93 Standard Caramel Black & White version of Ty Cobb (the only known example), a 1927 Honey Boy Babe Ruth (SGC 50), a 1921 Tip Top Bread Baltimore Orioles Lefty Grove uncatalogued “pre-rookie” card (SGC 20) and an incredible array of sports cards, memorabilia, Americana and autographs. This 160-page full-color catalog, featuring 724 lots of sports and non-sports cards and memorabilia, will be presented to thousands of the best bidders worldwide.

Highlights from this auction can be found in all genres and include a selection of single-signed baseballs with Cy Young, Harry Truman and Connie Mack; a 1912 NL Champion New York Giants team ball with Christy Mathewson, John McGraw and Wilbert Robinson; a gorgeous 1932 New York Yankees team-signed ball with Ruth, Gehrig, Lazzeri and Dickey; a 1965-66 Roberto Clemente signed contract; a full-size Heisman replica trophy signed by (29) Heisman winners; a Len Bias University of Maryland game-worn warm-up jacket; an 1815 document signed by James Madison and James Monroe; an assortment of 1954 and 1955 Esskay cards and a plethora of high value modern insert cards with many Babe Ruth versions.

Other notable items include hundreds of quality autographs including Babe Ruth, Claude “Lefty” Williams 1919 Chicago White Sox payroll check, Ty Cobb, Hack Wilson and dozens of rare Hall of Famers; Michael Jackson signed items; 1983 Baltimore Orioles World Series Championship ring; a pair of Atlanta Braves NL Championship rings (1992 & 1995); dozens of signed Masters golf flags with Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Payne Stewart and Tom Watson; unopened wax boxes including 1979-80 O-Pee-Chee Hockey full box (Gretzky rookie year); several large groupings of NASCAR collectibles and a litany of rare and highly desirable SGC and PSA graded cards from the pre-war era and much more. Huggins and Scott Auctions prides itself on offering collectibles to all levels of collectors with an affordable grouping of lots and items.

Of special note in this auction is the 1983 Washington Redskins NFC Championship Ladies ring presented to actress Cathy Lee Crosby by Joe Theismann. The beautiful 10K yellow gold ring features a diamond centered against a Redskin burgundy stone and has never left Crosby’s possession, until now.

This promises to be another fantastic sale for this stalwart of the sports memorabilia industry. Visit www.hugginsandscott.com to register, bid or to get a free catalog. Huggins and Scott continues to evolve as a customer-oriented auction company and is the only company that updates their website every day with new items that will be included in their upcoming auction. The auction will begin on November 27, 2009 at noon eastern time and will end on December 9th and 10th with the 30-minute rule. We are currently accepting consignments for our next auction (February 2010) and welcome all those who are looking for quality and personal customer service.
