Default Let's play Vintage Hi-Lo!

There are definitely some players/coaches/mgr's whose careers spanned many decades and who were depicted on vintage cards of that era. For example Connie Mack was in the OJ set as a rookie and then in playball in 40-41 as a mgr...this would be a span of 53 yrs or so...Amazing!!! This is the best I can do with my collection...I used to have a t206 collins which would have been better...oh well!!!

My collinses span 20 years. Show your best hi-lo?

That's a slippery slope - Collins was well done playing by the time the Goudey set was issued. I have an upper deck card of Babe Ruth from 2003...

Maybe if they made a Pesky coaches card? 70 years, 1942-2012. When was his first card?

Connie Mack was still active as a manager in 1950. So despite being a HOF set, his Callahan card could possibly still be a career contemporary card(although the first release of this may have been in '51). His Albertype HOF postcards would mostly be career contemporary.

I think last time this came up Jimmy Reese was the winner, he had some card in the 20s as a player and was in 1991 Bowman or something like that as a coach.
