Clemente 1953 Santurce Score book
I just picked up a score book From the Puerto Rican Professional League from 1953 with games scored of the Santurce Cangrejeros,which I believe is the rookie year of Roberto Clemente in Pro Baseball! It also has games scored of other HOFers such as Hank Aaron,Willie Mays,Monte irvin,Larry Doby.Also Tommy Lasorda,Dale Long ,Sal Maglie,Bob Lemon.The games were played between Oct 53-Oct 54. Lou

Not Clemente's rookie - nice book though!
Hi,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Clemente played for the Montreal Royals (Brooklyn's farm team) in 1954 and was "stolen" by the Pirates to play in the Majors in 1955. He started playing winter league ball in Puerto Rico in 1951. Now that the facts are on the table, the scorebook you picked up is pretty nice and for sure uncommon.
