Default Checkoutmycards.com Anyone Buy/Sell?

Let me preface this by saying I don't work for, nor do I have any vested interest in this site.

I'm curious if anyone uses Checkoutmycards.com (COMC) to buy or sell prewar cards. I sell alot of my modern stuff on there and have occasionally bought some vintage stuff on there but never sold any.

Most of the vintage cards seem to be way overpriced so I would think if someone had a supply they were willing to sell reasonably they could do quite well.

Default Comc

If someone has reasonably priced vintage cards they would sell well in any venue whether it be eBay, flea markets, internet sites, Net54, card shows. If a reasonably priced card sells at COMC doesn't mean COMC was the reason for it but that the price itself was reasonable and therefore sell-able at that price.

COMC...I have used it many times to buy...never to sell...I tend to find that sellers set the price and if it is reasonable, the card sells...not sure you can find completed sales but there have been some decent deals on oddball stuff that I like.

I've had good experiences as a buyer and have picked up some mid-condition prewar common cards.

Default Me too

I've made a few nice pick ups at COMC too. I really like that they give you a good picture of the front and back. Wish more sellers would use the quality of photos that they do. [I do agree that a lot of stuff on their tends to be priced high ... but I've had some sellers make deals through the offer function.]

Cheers,
Patrick

I began using it recently and like it quite a bit.

I only recently became aware of this board so I haven't bought anything from them yet. I do like the drill-down interface they have.

The main thing is, it gives me another place to look for a card I really need for my WABORN (Washington-born) collection -- a T210 Series 6 Mullin (Charles Mullen, Seattle born). He has no other cards that I am aware of.

I should add that I've had good luck making offers of 25 to 40 percent off the listed price and having them accepted.
