Default T205 Matty McIntyre Printer Mark?

Recently bought this Matty McIntyre T205 off of eBay and as I was reading the back noticed what I though was an asterisk near the 1909 batting average. Eye sight isn't great so was able to blow it up and it looks like a dot rather than a asterisk. Was wondering if anyone else has one with this mark. I have attached the picture. Let me know if anyone has one that is similar.

Just a guess but there's probably other examples with this mark it's likely a
reoccurring print flaw.

There are several.

I also found a few that are missing the bottom of the 946 while
I was looking for your flaw.

Looks like the mark is on Sweet Cap factory 25 and the incomplete 946 factory 42.

That is blatant paper loss on those SC backs. C'mon now.

The mark is not an * but a left over ink blob probably squeezed out of the type set on every sheet during print cycle.

This is a joke right?

He shows two cards with the missing 649. How would two cards have the exact same paper loss? The bottom one alone has scuffed paper loss, but considering where the missing ink is looks exactly the same as the one above with the star stamps it appears to be more than paper loss there.

I respectfully disagree. Notice all of them are also missing part of the 6 in 236.
