Just picked this up...pretty clean for a 4. I am not much for graded cards, I normally pop them to put with my sets, but this one will most likely stay...I love it. I always get excited when I add a Mantle...

Also picked this up for my brother for Christmas...he is collecting all the Mays in PSA 4...also a pretty sharp card.

I agree -- other than '52 Bowman and '53 Topps, the '59 Topps Mantle is his best looking card from the 50's. Cool addition, Andy!

Man. Anyone else feel like they have way too much time to spend scouring ebay and negotiating with sellers for lower prices? Picked up these 4 beauties in the past two days.

I like cards with people smiling because it makes me happy so the Durocher and Musial were no-brainers. Musial looks so awkward in most of his contemporary cards. I went for that specific Durocher since I want to get cards of HOF managers from their managing (and not playing) days. The Schmidt is way cheaper than his RC and I like how the whole card is dedicated to him instead of a tiny corner.

Happy holidays everyone!

Hey Phil. I googled it before I purchased the cards and this is what I found: http://forums.collectors.com/message...hreadid=864076

Here is his store on ebay: http://myworld.ebay.com/thecollector...p2047675.l2559

I guess if you spend 10's of thousands grading cards they will let you put your mark on them.

No wonder I never heard of that before, might be worth the $3.00 (or whatever the cost is these days) re-holdering fee to have that removed from the flip. lol

No, but that is one freakin' great lot of items! I love haberdashery premiums: La Salle Hats, Adam Hats, Slidewell and Slim Jim Bowties, Paul Stuart/Parade Sportive, etc., but I've never seen those before. Looks like a full store package.
