You can't send this to PSA - you'll get square corners instead of rounded ones!!!!

PWCC is a seller on eBay (Pre-War Card Collector) aka Brent Huigens, who has started denoting "High End" cards - ones that look amazing for the grade - as either HE or PQ: Premium Quality.
The Purple Label company is also doing the same thing, basically, saying that cards that look awesome for the grade will also get a pretty sticker attached to the slab. Most collectors think those are fads, but some people are paying extra for them. Both PWCC and Purple Label company (board member Lowpopper) are now advertisers here on Net54.

In Coins there is a Green Sticker Called CAC. I guess the Best way to put it is that it is a Third Party Grading Service that Evaluates Another Third Party Grading Service. Kind of Ridiculous. You buy a PCGS Slabbed Coin (PCGS is like the PSA of Coins). Then you Pay Another Company to Look at Your Already Graded Coin and if they Agree they put a Green Sticker on the Coin Slab making it more Valuable. http://www.caccoin.com/ Shouldn't One Grading Company be Enough ????? I am Guessing this Purple Sticker is the Same as the Green Sticker for Coins or am I Wrong? Last edited by that T206 Guy; 06-21-2018 at 07:22 PM. |

Also you may want to refine your grading eye. Between centering and corner wear that I can see in a small scan it is only a "7" It is a gorgeous card for the grade though.

Same theory; this just started a couple of months ago. Here is a thread to read about it:
http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=254339 FWIW, a lot of 10 1968 Topps commons SGC graded between 6-7 all with purple stickers just sold for only $33 on a major eBay seller's recent auction. So if those stickers cost $5 each and many of the owner's cards were evaluated and not given purple stickers, the consignor took a cold bath with those cards.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/372333213...2047675.l10137 ...may have to click "listing" if it forwards you to another auction like it has been doing lately.

Exactly I don't see how that card is a 2.5
It is Amazing (And the Issue is on the Back not the Front). I have seen Other 2.5 Cards that look like They Got Ran Over By a Car (On Both Sides). |

Two great cards, especially that WaJo, wow Jon - is there any paper loss at the bottom where there was never any writing?
