Default Ty Cobb M116 final price?

I realize the front is very nice but with writing on back and a SGC 20 grade i would say the seller made out good. Anyone from here grab this card?

There were two other people bidding in the 1100-1300 range for that card. Guess these are on the rise?

I am going to wager that it turns up again with the writing removed...or at least attempted to be removed

Curious because the writing on the back says M-116 I wonder if it was one of the pioneers of the hobby who wrote that on the back as they where creating all the ACC set numbers. Don't some of you have cards from them that have writing on them as well?

Maybe you can compare the writting on it to Burdick's.

I don't think a typical collector would of wrote that on the back.

These are getting very popular. That card may have been thrown around... Is that bottom, back edge damage?

The writing on the back does look sort of vintage to me. I have copies of Burdick, Bray, Barker (I think), and Corson's writings on my website. My guess, from the way it looks, is that it could be a tad later writing. Certainly not in the last 10-15 years but maybe a little before that (just a hunch).......best regards

I have a couple of nice E94s which have "E-94" written in small ink pen on the back which looks almost identical to this.
And yes, the M116 set is starting to move...
