Default Does anyone recognize this person- possible rose bowl connection

Does anyone recognize the person on the plaque? Supposedly has some ties to the rose bowl , but it's not identified in anyway .. Could be a famous - might not be .. Any help appreciated

Default Knute Rockne?

Could it be Knute Rockne? I rotated this image to better line up with yours, btw. There is some resemblance, although Notre Dame only played in the Rose Bowl once, in 1925...

Just an FYI, I swear I've heard of a online tool that can "search" for similar images based on one you upload, it might even be something Google can do. Might help you.

I think it may be Tom Harmon, U of Mich, running back. Won Heisman in 1940.

I still say Tommy Harmon. Not only did he play in the Rose Bowl, He was the color commentator for the first NBC televised coverage of the Rose Bowl.
