Default Help identifing print and player

Anyone have a guess as to where this print came from? It appears to have been taken from a book but the back is blank. The player may be Eddie Murphy, pencil note 1914 WB. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Jim

Thank you for posting that Jim! I got the same piece recently in an ephemera lot and agree with you that it came from a book, but I have no idea what book. The person I got mine from thought it was Homerun Baker but I didn't know. Hopefully we will both get an answer from this post.

Alan

It is definitely from a book, I no longer own, but I will try to get the title. The book was not just about baseball and was from the 1909 -1918 or so time period if I had to guess.

Our Wonder World Vol 6 Sports and Pastimes, Schuman, 1914. The image starts the section on baseball. There are numerous black and white photos also, including some frome the 1912 World Series. The book used to be readily available in the 5 to 10 dollar range.
