Default t206 proof card? Southern leaguer

Posted By: bigfish

I was hoping to get some info. about a card I bought today. It is a t206, the name is Bay, nashville. It has a blank back. I was told it might be a proof card. Anyone know anything about these?

Toby

Hi bigfish,
Probably just a blank back, but email a scan and I will let you know. Thanks Brian

It is probably just a blank back if it does not have printer's proof lines, but why don't you post an image here for everybody to see. Even if it is "just" a blank back, it is a great pickup. Blank backs are not easy to find.

Any guesses out there (educated or otherwise) as to the number of blank back T206s relative to the other rare backs. My guess based on casual observation is that they are probably not as tough as Drum, Uzit or Lenox, but probably in the Broadleaf/Carolina Brights range. Others?

I am curious what they sell for as well. I just picked one up this weekend, Fielder Jones portrait. It is about G condition but it is the first blank back I have ever owned.

Hi Guys,
This one just ended a day or so ago.

http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-T206-Cy-Seymour-throwing-rare-Blankback_W0QQitemZ8719810561QQcategoryZ86841QQssP ageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

As far as scarcity goes, they are similiar to Piedmont 42's in my opimion, and maybe even slightly tougher.

Be well Brian
