Default PSA or not, I am very skeptical that this Thorpe is real

Very wide space between picture and black box border, which is a typical characteristic of reprints.

Am willing to be educated and/or persuaded, and would love to see another scan of the Thorpe card (thought I had one, but can't seem to find it).
regards...........Todd

Without seeing it in person I would say that PSA is in for some more trouble. Those black line borders are much wider, from the picture, than any of the 30 or so M101-4/5's I have. They need to start putting a little more experience on their "bench" or they will continue to have these issues......best regards all...

PSA ended their buy back program. Good thing too, saved themselves anywhere from $700-1500 on this one.

That's a reprint.

I vote reprint. It will be interesting to see how PSA handles this problem, although they have removed their guarantee from their website, it is my understanding that they still honor it. They seem to have a particular problem with this issue of cards, having previously slabbed a reprint Babe Ruth.

The card does appear to be a reprint.

PSA still does have a buy back program. They have only pulled the reference to it from their site.

If PSA still has a buy back option, why did they pull the reference from their site??? I would think they would want that known that they stand behind their product. Especially if they really do. Why stand behind your product and not advertise that?? Maybe I am missing something here. Dan.

Reprint. Not only the big space between picture and line, but HUMUNGOUS letters under the picture!

There is absolutely no question that the card is a reprint.

A new seller and a 0 for a feedback rating. Maybe the holder has been tampered with. That alone would keep me away

Dan,

This link references their Guarantee. It used to be spelled out more specifically. Read the text after Tamper-Evident Seal
