Does anyone know anything about the Huntley and Palmers Biscuits trade card featuring a baseball vignette that is lot 11 in Smolin's Auction? The things I would love to find out are what year/years these cards are from and what they sell for. Thanks for any help.

I have seen at least four in the last year, mostly for sell by Europeans - very common card and Europeans have been collecting these for so long that they are easy to find in great condition. I would not pay more than $50 personally.

Agree with Scott.

I've seen this card MANY times on eBay going for about $35, in very nice shape.

I think the card is early 1900's, and the gold border sometimes is chipped.
Also heard that there are some reprints on the market.

...but I was surprised to see it in Smolin's auction catalog. I also saw it in a VCBC article about trade cards.

Lot #3, ambrotype, is super rare. Though not as desirable or expensive, baseball ambrotypes are even rarer than baseball Daguerreotypes.
