Default 1960 Game Show "I've Got A Secret" featuring T206 players Tommie Leach & Fred Parent

Not sure how I ended up finding this but I had heard years ago that it existed and decided to find it today. Pretty cool show that features a panel trying to figure out the "Secret" the contestant is keeping through a game of 20 questions. It is always fun to see the players themselves while they were still alive, Tommy Leach would pass away in 1969 and Fred Parent would follow a few years later in 1972.

You will want to start watching at about the 7:00-7:10 mark...

Fantastic! There is a This is Your Life with Casey Stengel, and two old timers come out to congratulate him. One is Zach Wheat...and I forgot the other.

I think it might have been George Sisler.

That was great===so neat to hear these guys talking about baseball in the early 1900's---Leach stated that he saw only 1 home run hit out of the ballpark in 9 years--quite a statement--- thanks for sharing this show.

Here's another "I've Got A Secret" from April 13, 1955. Dazzy Vance and Jimmy Foxx were contestants starting at 2:28, and then Cy Young was a contestant from 8:00 to 15:00. Gotta love host Garry Moore doing the whole show with a cigarette in his hand, and giving the guests cartons of Winstons as parting gifts.

And here is a clip of Ty Cobb on the show on September 28, 1955:

Notice that they blindfolded the male panelists (Henry Morgan and Bill Cullen) so they wouldn't be able to see him, but didn't blindfold the women.

I wonder who hit the one ball that Leach saw go over the fence?

Thanks for sharing these. I especially liked Cy Young. As he was leaving, he said he still worked every day at age 88! Can you imagine today’s ballplayers doing that? Then they gave him $80 and a carton of cigarettes and he was dead in just 6 months. Times change ....
