Default Demmitts

Hi Net54,
I don't post much. I need your opinion on which of these Demmitts would you keep. I am a long time baseball card hoarder and have been told I need to show that I am not a hoarder and can let my duplicates go. I need help
on deciding which one I should keep.
Thanks for all your help
Ron

I dont collect early baseball cards, so take my opinion for what it is. I like the card on the right. The yellow is vibrant as is the lettering contrast on the jersey. The upper left corner is torn, but my eye doesnt go to that first.

The card on the left (although good corners) is just dull. The colors are lost and faded. First thing my eye went to was the staining on the yellow to the left of his head.

It may present differently when you are actually holding them, but take my opinion and $2 and buy a cup of coffee.

Default Keep them both

Keep them both. It's not "hoarding", its "collecting".

Keep the one on the left, and send the other one to me for proper disposal

Thanks Guys for all your opinions.
The one on the left is a 4 and the one on the right is a 3.
I am leaning more to the one on the right.

if you keep the one on the right, you'll have the best of both worlds- you'd be keeping the better looking card, and selling the one which will net you more money. no brainer. nice cards.

Thanks to TPG, we know that the flaws in the one on the left are visible in a scan, and the flaws in the one on the right are not. That is precisely why we need TPG.

Fair point that perhaps there are flaws to the one on the right that we cannot see in the scans. But if that is the case then we really can't answer the question which is the better one to keep.

To me, it's an easy answer for the original poster. Forget the slab and keep the one you like best. That is what I do...the number, to me, means nothing except when reselling it sometimes"might" increase value.

It's another illustration of how you use TPG to your advantage as a collector. The one on the right has superior eye appeal. The one on the left is the one you sell. Somebody will spend much more time looking at the flip than they will at the image. I swear some people are "flip collectors"
