Got it. Surprising to me how low end values often decreased and high-end values jumped, and at times doubled on many issues(prewar). Steve F

I find it interesting that people still turn to the book for guidance on prices. To me it is just a reference guide and nothing more. I would love to pay the prices in that book when I buy. Unfortunately the only time the book is accurate is when I sell. Anyone else use it as a price guide? One other issue I have with the book, that others have commented on, is that most of the cards do not exist in high grades, yet there are the prices for a Boston Garter in mint condition. Hu? ... Hey Leon... Any chance you could implement a spelling check? Thanks for the card today. Super sweet!!

are you (and other threads I occasionally have seen) referring to the Standard Catalog by Lemke or the price guide by Sports Collectors Digest?...
Thanks, Jason L

Where is the best place to buy the new SCD book? Ebay or is there a dealer that sells it cheap? JC

Hi JC,
I ordered mine on overstock.com and it was cheaper and arrived before Amazon copies. Good luck Brian

I bought mine at Barnes and Noble bookstore. Most bookstores will have copies or will order for you.
