Default Kren's Special Custom Bats

Recently a couple of "Game Used" Kren bats have been offered and I wanted to share some information I came across. Below is a Late 1930's Kren's catalog that I was able to make a copy of while doing research at the Baseball Hall of Fame. I've had a copy of this catalog for about 10 years but never noticed the back page which highlighted their custom bats. As you can see, their custom bats will have a model number inside the Kren logo but will not have a name on the barrel. It is possible that a professional player would order a custom bat from the models on record and use it during a game but it's also possible that a non-professional could order one as well. Not sure if this would classify it as a store model since it was offered to the general public. One of the challenges in collecting Kren bats is the limited information that is available and the fact that H&B has tremendous records and a logical system in determining professional bats vs. store models.
