I bet you can get the answer by traversing through this link:
https://www.comc.com/Cards/Baseball,...+-blue,ot,i100 Looks like a white back/gray back issue. I would guess that the white backs have a slight premium just by being more attractive. #1 Yogi can be found with both backs. The rest is left as an exercise to the user.

Thanks for the link. That was a quicker exercise than I thought. I looked at the Red Backs listed on COMC, as well as other cards shown on PicClick / ebay. I see that every card seems to have a white and a cream card stock version, with the possible exception of #36 Gus Zernial and #52 Tommy Holmes. Collectors of this set will know that there are two different versions of these two cards, (Gus Zernial Chicago bio or Philadelphia bio, Tommy Holmes Boston bio or Hartford bio). It seems that you can only find one version of each with white card stock, and the other version of each with cream card stock. I was not able to find the opposite version for each of these two cards. I am hoping some other collectors out there can confirm this, or provide contrary examples. Perhaps this is already known to collectors of this set?

More info on The Topps Archives
You'll find a pretty good treatment on the 1951 Red and Blue Backs as well as the different cardboard, on The Topps Archives Blog:

I have collected all 5 of the Topps 1951 sets, including then 51 red backs in singles and panels. My singles sets all have darker backs with 3 exceptions, the variant Holmes as manager, Zernial traded to Phils and Hegan with the broken "r" in right handed...those are all white. My panel set, in what was called above a hanger pack, appear white. I assume opened it would have the Zernial Phil, Holmes manager and Hegan with the defective r.

Fantastical
My '51 Topps MLAS commons don't seem to have a cream variant, but maybe I'll have to keep looking.

The Roberts is not a common and the other 2 are Uncommon Commons
Those 3 fill a black hole in my 51 set |
