Default Tom Morris

Hi,
Don't know whether this is the correct part of the forum but here goes.
Does anyone have a Tom Morris from F&J Smith Champions of Sport (blue back) that they are willing to part with???????
Yours Hopefully

Jerome -

I have reason to believe that one will pop up on eBay soon (not sure if it is red or blue).

I just picked up my first couple of FJ Smith cards and love them.

If anyone has any other golfer FJ Smith cards - I would be interested (Jerome gets first dibs on a Morris)

Jason - I won it.

I am not sure if the price seemed strong (or weak) to everyone else - but I am happy with it.

As soon as I get it, I will post a scan.

Did anyone here pickup the Smiths Harry Vardon that was auctioned off last month? (I am kicking myself for losing that one)

Congrats Joe. I was watching and saw it hovering around $125 earlier yesterday, and figured it was about to skyrocket at some point. My $750-ish bid was as high as I could go, but I was guessing I wouldn't get it for that.

Glad it's going to someone on the boards; awesome pickup!

Joe,
Congratulations on the Morris. I think the price you paid is fair, you just don't see enough of them trading hands to get a good handle on pricing. This is the fourth one I have seen up for auction. Two of them were in worse condition than this one and the other one was a PSA 4. On another note, I was also the one that won the Smith Vardon last month.

Old Tom arrived.

Great card. And I love the writeup on the back.

I don't think I ever posted an image of the card in its slab (image below).

Jason - did you ever get your Vardon graded?

Dave -

Didn't you have an FJ Morris at one time?

Did you have any others?

Once upon a blue moon years ago, I had a vardon, Morris and I think a Braid. I sold each of them for a substantial amount of money, and since I paid a song for each of them I was more than happy, but I have regretted it ever since!

Jason - the Vardon is beautiful. absolutely beautiful.

Dave -
Vardon, Morris, and Braid!
I would regret it too. But.... I've sold so many card that I later regretted selling. We've all been there I would guess. Plus - at least you made some good money on them.
