Agreed, I like the horizontal idea so that you can see all of each card seperately. Is the background part of the cards or are the cards seperate stock then the black background?

it looks to me...but I could be wrong...that the cards were reproduced as individual cards and it's up to you to display them...i think they're just displayed overlapping in the photo.

The cards are loose. I think we misunderstood each other. I didn't know you all were expecting a lined up print of the cards. This is a real bummer. I got each back printed on it's own card so to speak. What I am selling it the loose set of 16 cards/backs at actual size. So you will receive a penny sleeve with 16 reprints in it.

Even the framed versions are going to have separate loose cards glued into the matte layout. I though my graphic renderings made that obvious. I figured everyone wanted the loose sets so they could display them however they wanted.

Pete is correct, the image is just to show the different cards you will be getting. It's not a print out or anything. Each card is independent of the others. I just scanned them as you see them... all mixed up.

I really liked the following set up but in an 8 by 2 format for the 16 cards. I would like to be able to purchase some sort of pre made frame that i could then insert(or cards already inserted)the cards into like shown below. But i dont know how to construct such a thing... maybe someone else could and then sell that with the cards.

don't apologize, this is a very cool thing you did...maybe it was just i who missunderstood? from the renderings and early discussions, i just assumed it was on one long sheet...BUT, i do like what you did...

i actually thought the t206 reprint set i have, had a representation of each back, but some were in the wrong colors...SO, in essence you have created a new reprint set...bravo!

***looking at your image, i thought it was rendered this way because it was difficult to model it with a matte and the print under it...but, no biggie...looks great either way!

I believe that once you get the individual cards, you can just take them to a frame shop and have the shop frame them anyway you please. Even if Trae sells the cards framed, he is going to be getting them framed professionally from what I understand.

Yes, I will be getting them framed professionally. I only got so many of these loose reprints done because I was under the impression they were in demand since such a backs reprint set didn't exist before this.

I wish I could better illustrate the way I envision the framing.

Here's another attempt:


So remove the card and you have a double matted (inlaid) blank white surface. The black area is matted into the brown area and the white area is matted into the black area. Each card has it's own double matted "cutout" area if you will and is glued dead center of that area. The cards came out with a whiter background than I expected at the print shop so there will be more of a lack of the contrast between the card and the white background area but it should still look fine and be an A+ display piece.

Am I making any sense? Obviously the black area around the outside is the frame itself and they will be glassed in.

Trae,

I received the backs today and they are absolutely wonderful.
My wife and i took them out of the package at a restaurant and spent a good hour eagerly looking at and examining each one. We were very careful to
keep food and drink out of the way, due to their obvious lesser importance!!!
We continue to be amazed at how 'life like' they are. The color, the weight, the feel,the print
are just right, Trae! Kudos, again and again!!!

Hal, I don't yet have a cost estimate. I am in the middle of a move right now but once I get settled I am going to go get some framing estimates. I will definitely let everyone know the cost for each respective framing option. I am assuming they will all be similar in cost.

Barry, that's so cool that you've given me such positive feedback. Thank you! I am glad you've enjoyed my little project's labor fruit. May I use this feedback as a testimonial to do a tad bit of marketing? either way, it's been appreciated and made for a good smile!

Zach, I did get your email. I responded confirming this but I guess it didn't go through. They're on their way to your correct address already.

Lastly, many thanks to those of you who mailed checks. I have received all of them.

Oh, and one quick note. I have created the Brown Hindu backs and will likely also create an AB no frame as well as the different series designations for backs that do in fact contain different series numbers. I will keep everyone updated on that. In the end I'd like to have a "complete" set minus the blank back, that one wouldn't make much sense in any display.
