Default 1957 Bill Russell PSA 8 vs PSA 7

PSA 8 $30K with typical 1957 centering issues
PSA 7 $20K perfect centering with imperfect upper right and lower right corners
Both are void of any of the print defects

Just curious .....Which one would you buy ??

Default Eye appeal

The 7 looks good to me. With that centering I wouldn't think twice about it.

7 all day, these cards are impossible to find centered, to me, in this issue especially, that outweighs marginally superior corners.

7 all the way, the image looks better on it (in addition to the centering). If they weren’t slabbed, I’d be inclined to spend more on the 7 than the 8 anyway, if I were in the market.

The 7 looks high end, the 8 looks to be overgraded a little.

Of course when you magnify the corners on the 7 that card is not without problems. But at arm's length great eye appeal.

Default the "7" wins...

centering-wise, is great...while the top/bottom centering on mine sucks, at I can live with this one, as it was purchased with a full-set back in the 1980's.

IF / WHEN I choose to upgrade, I'd take the "7" and move the one (below) I currently have:

I'd buy the "8", because it's bigger.

It’s really not that tough to find a centered copy...one sold last night for like 450.

However, it’s REALLY hard to find one without “snow”.

Thanks again everyone. I ended up pulling the trigger on the PSA 7 for $19,500. I'm not a dealer or one to flip cards so if I overpaid it doesn't bother me. Always wanted a '57 Russell.

I think they all have snow although sometimes it doesn't show on scans depending on the saturation level.

Mine is nothing special but I thought it was relatively light on the snow.
