Default Something doesn't look right...

Is it me, or does the flip look off?

Wasn't the '33 Gehrig PSA 7 one of the cards used by that scammer in Mexico that was the topic of conversation a month or two ago?

Looks like the same flip as the 1933 goudey Ruth they just sold for over $3000?..

I remember the old flips, but this has a new style plastic border, not the old style inner baggies...

Neither the Ruth nor the Gehrig match anything in this database:

It was PSA 6 Gehrigs, but also PSA 5 Ruths.

Comparing the Gehrig to the flip examples on the PSA forum, it's closest to type 3. Notice the zeros no longer have the line through them, so it's not type 1 or 2. It can't be type 4, because the bar code is not left justified. It is indented.

Compare them side by side:

The only thing that jumps out to me is the difference in the spacing. Comparing shared numbers and letters, it appears to me the typography is identical.

I'd be more concerned by the seller's no return policy, and low feedback record. I wouldn't plop down a few thousand bucks to buy either of those cards from a non-reputable seller.

Shouldn't the hologram on the back reflect?

Yes, it should, but it looks like they have a sticker of some kind over it. There is sticker residue on the back of the flip.

Conveniently located!

I say these are the California fakes....

Seller only has sold 3 DVDs , the all of a sudden two 33 goudeys which happen to be the 2 most faked cards in holders....

Flips look home made

Admittedly I don't normally look real closely at psa flips but isn't the white area generally or always more centered within the red ? Both this Gehrig flip and the previous Ruth appear significantly off center.
