If someone accused me of doing something illegal, I would simply point at someone else who did the same thing...that makes me innocent...hmmm

Big difference between SGC and PSA, which should be apparent to all by now:

SGC addresses the problems, because they want to improve and continue to convert PSA customers.

PSA and their customers simply try to redirect attention toward someone else, in this case SGC.

Sure Mike, go for it. Grading companies should be held accountible since that is there business. SGC, PSA, GAI, I don't care one way or the other. Post away my friend. But don't get mad at me for attacking a company that treats customers like garbage and doesn't have anyone that knows **** about pre-war cards! Ask Orlando who told them how to tell the fake Nodgrass's they were slabbing left and right. All I say is if I have a business of any kind, I will hire someone that knows something about the material I am handling!

I agree with Scott, though I haven't had a bad experience with SGC, all of these companies will make mistakes no matter who they have. The difference will be how they handle the mistakes and you can check PSA's Better Business Bureau Report, UNSATISFACTORY!

I'm not looking for a flame war as most here hate PSA which is fine.

In addition, Dan I have read your trials with PSA and undestand your beef there.

But your link was to a auction of a PSA card that was mislabeled. My post says SGC makes the same errors.

If you want to attack PSA for screwing up something and then not resolving it properly that is fine. But to attack them for goofing a label...well I think that is just being nonsensical. All companies do it.

Don't forget the possibility that the card may have been switched!

I had a mislabeled T202 that I sent along with ag roup to SGC and they put in the proper label. i don't see mislabeling as a big problem as long as they are willing to do it for free. SGC is not a problem for me since I submit to them, on the other hand if I was to send back to PSA I will probably have to incur the cost of the postage. I have a dilemna when I buy PSA cards that I have a problem with, do I incur the loss or just passed it on to the next unlucky soul. I would have to say that at least 25% of the PSA cards I have purchased I have not been throughly happy with. this is why I continue to use SGC, yes I have had differnce in opinions about grades on a few cards and sent them back for review, but they have always been willing to speak to me in person about the card in question.

All done for know

Lee

And I do realize that you didn't want anyone flaming you - you simply wanted to divert attention away from the PSA mistake, which you have successfully done.

If my customer was to tell me that I screwed up their project, a really bad response would be "yes, but didn't x company screw up another of your projects?" Do you think that approach would get me additional business? The "re-divert attention" approach is generally just a bad approach to life's problems - I admittedly used to do it on a regular basis, but I was two years old then.

Realizing that PSA isn't going away, I would prefer that they straighten up their act and I would think that their customers would be even more interested in this. Wouldn't you prefer that PSA did not make mistakes? Seriously, it could only help with the value of your PSA cards. SGC gets calls all the time from customers who are irate and want improvements made (the graded DELL magazine cards), or from friendly customers suggesting changes (such as Leon and the registry thing). They listen to us.

Has anyone here ever contacted PSA to request a change and had anything done? Please, give some examples.

I'm looking for examples other than requests made by wealthy customers or those with inside tracks.

I realize that SGC proponents, like myself, do the very same thing (redirecting attention to PSA). Please excuse me when I get into 'debate' mode - it's really not meant to be personal (in most cases), and I appreciate the opportunity Dan and Michael have given us to discuss this always hot topic.

Hi Scott,
You should be playing Golf today, the weather is too nice to be inside. Especially wasting time discussing PSA & SGC, boy have we beat this one to death. I use both companies, SGC for my personal stuff, and PSA for my Ebay sales. In fact I'm packing up submitions to both companies as I type.

Be well Brian

PS If my wife hadn't had surgery yesterday, I'd be playing Golf toady...... 78 degrees, Sunny, High Blue skies... Go hit a few more me.

I have a "cockpit" set-up at home, play computer to the left and work computer to the right. I am stuck working all morning, but have easy access to "play".

It sucks, but I'm dealing with it because I'm happy to have a job! I have caught myself preparing beligerent posts this morning, which I think in part has to do with my attitude about working on such a beautiful day. I can honestly say that there is no one on this board that I don't enjoy exchanging chats with - even the ones who think I'm a hateful SOB!

In any case, I'm out the door for a run in the woods with my dog - enjoy your golf!

Unless he is a freak of nature and stands on his hand with a ball in it, it is a "horizontal" and not a "vertical".

What do I win?

Hi Lee,

You win 5 free submissions from PSA, minus the shipping and handling, of course.
Later Brian
