Default How Many Are Possible?

I just heard that Rockies prospect Brendan Rodgers will tonight become the 19,515th player to debut in the MLB. Does anyone have a ballpark guess how many of these 19,515 players have ever signed a baseball card (either MLB or MiLB)? Is it possible to get 5,000 different player autos on cards? 10,000? Anyone who is an advanced collector willing to share a number that they have obtained? Thanks.
