Default What do you make of this?

I was going through a few T206 dups this morning and came across something that looked a bit out of place on the middle, Howell. I am thinking that it looks like a fiber was attached to the paper during the printing process (must have been there through all passes). It looks like it was embedded in the paper in the upper left part where it starts and similar type of indention below the letters "O" and "W".

Something else odd here is that the player name and team are in black ink. I always thought this would be in brown ink. The typeface and point sizes look correct to me.

A few different scans including close-ups of the area.

Thanks,
Marty

Looks like a scratch/razor cut.
This image shows a gouge, perhaps.
