In my opinion this is very sad and pathetic on Becketts part.

From reading the story I am unclear what exactly the trade secret is supposed to be. Is Beckett claiming the database of cards is the secret?

It isn't the checklist, it is the pricing database.
From the article:

In the lawsuit which now stands in U.S. District Court, Beckett attorneys claim “COMC’s misappropriation, misuse, and threatened and/or actual disclosure of Beckett’s secret pricing systems and processes

From the article:
Yes, Beckett is claiming injury over the one piece of their data in which COMC would have absolutely no interest. And now that COMC is back online with their new Swiss cheese-style database, all of Beckett's complaints about the checklists collapses. Hopefully some judge will find against Beckett and require them to cover all court costs for both parties.

Secret pricing system?

The last thing that should be a secret is how they come to price something.

I am still a fan of Beckett grading.......not a fan of their executive management.

I don't understand how a publicly disclosed list would be a trade secret. I was thinking that Beckett was claiming that COMC stole their pricing formula but that was not stated. I am interested to learn more.

The old formula that's gone missing.

But relax! There's a new and better one!

I don't understand. Is Beckett claiming that COMC stole their formula? I don't see how publicly available pricing would be a trade secret.

I read "pricing systems and processes" as, yes, the formula.
