Default A Little Boy On A Tobacco Card & His Name Be KELLY

Posted By: Ralph

Well I recieved this from a very good collecting friend of mine as he was very kind in sending this to me.I won't mention his name but our deals were sure some very fun times. This is the T-210 Red Border card of Kelly,(mascot) Goldsboro. This is the best looking card from the entire set including Joe. J. In my opinion

Sorry for the scan but I need to buy a better program as the one I am using is horrid.

Nice card, the scan is bad as the boy's pants are flannel as you can see the great detail that the scan didn't pick up.This card beats all T-210 cards well in my opinion.

Could "Kelly" still be living?

That is a cool T210. Lets do the math, early 20th century...I think the mascot's a little too young to be Ted though.

The mascot would have to be 110 or so, so it is doubtful. However,Ernie Kershaw, former pitcher for the Vancouver Capilanos, is still going strong at 97

(picture shown above when Ernie was a much younger 92)

Ernie this year at 97, with his spouse Helen

He would be around 107 years old today so it is doubtful he is still alive.

Curious about the T210 Kelly, I searched and found this old thread.
Does anyone know anything more about young Mr. Kelly?
