Default Know the No-Prints of the EPDG cards in the 150 Series of the T206 set......

American Lithographic (ALC) included 143 subjects in their 150/350 Series print runs of T206 cards.
The PIEDMONT brand is printed on all 143 of these cards.

Regarding the EPDG back, 82 subjects are confirmed with EPDG backs in this series. It appears to me
that ALC omitted printing a sheet of approximately 60-cards in this series.
It's my guess that no more EPDG cards remain to be discovered in this series. Therefore, those of you
doing T206 runs on any of the No-Print guys need not search for EPDG. A No-Print list is forthcoming.

Checklist of the 82 confirmed subjects with the EPDG back in the 150/350 series part of the 150 Series.

And, here are the 60 subjects in the 150/350 Series which my research indicates are EPDG NO-PRINTS.

If anyone on this forum can confirm any of these guys with an EPDG back....then please chime in.

If you are the mood, feel free to post your EPDG cards here. This T206 back is one of the prettier backs in the set.

Pat, thanks for bringing the Ames to my attention. I meant to type Ames (portrait) in the No-Print list.
Yesterday was a long day for me, and my mind was tired by 9:30 last night (when I typed up this list).

Anyway, I have corrected it.

Default Pastorius

Note there's no Pastorius in Jeff's EPDG montage. He and I agree Pastorius doesn't come with an EPDG back. Or at least it hasn't been confirmed with an EPDG back, no matter what T206 Resource says. It doesn't appear in the pop reports at either PSA or SGC. If anyone out there has one, please show it.

Same with Hunky Shaw and Ed Willett, in the 350-only series. T206 Resource says they come with EPDG backs, but there hasn't been a confirmed copy of either at PSA or SGC. I consider them unconfirmed, as does every other informed rare-back collector I know. To the best of my knowledge, a complete EPDG set has 281 subjects, which is consistent with the number of cards that Jeff shows above.

Now if I could just find an EPDG Hummel. It's not even all that rare compared with so many of the other EPDG backs. See my latest offer on the B/S/T board, posted today.

Powers should get two asterisks as a 150-only, too, shouldn't it?

American Litho introduced the T206's in Spring 1909 with these 12 cards. I don't consider Powers as originally in the 150-only Series.....

Doc Powers would have been printed with 350 series backs (EPDG, OLD MILL, etc.) had he not suffered an untimely death in April 1909. This was a very unfortunate event
for the Philadelphia A's, and especially Eddie Plank. Powers was Plank's preferred Battery mate.

Re: Powers…..Hmm. That’s a thinker, Ted. Hadn’t heard that theory before, but I’ll take your word for it.

Do you agree that among the subjects with Sovereign 150 backs, there are 82 subjects with EPDG backs and that Pastorius is unconfirmed with an EPDG back?

You have convinced me that Pastorius is an EPDG no-print.

I have included him in my NO-PRINT checklist in Post #12.

Your cards are absolutely fabulous. If these cards are from an original collection, can you tell where (city or state) they are from ?

Thanks Ted. The letter was mailed from East Orange, New Jersey and sent to Montclair, New Jersey. It was found with a grouping of other ephemera all with the same family name so I believe it to be from the original owner. The cards look like they have never seen the light of day. Joe
