1911 Baseball Bats. Many have told me otherwise but I am content with thinking they are Baseball Bats. Baseball Bats are on a thick stock unlike Orange Borders which I have been told are on a thin stock. Also Baseball Bats say the players name and team unlike 1910 Orange Borders.

Zachs rare cards are "1911 Base-Ball Bats", they come with at least 3 color combinations.
Red background with orange border, tan background with orange border, tan background with tan border.

The unrelated "1910 Orange Borders" have a far different style of caption, and photos are color tinted. Nice pick up Zach, I bid but lost out on them.

Dont own this card anymore, but here is a picture (below) of an Orange Border

Thanks for the nice write up on the set Frank but here is my question. The Collins is obviously a Base-Ball Bat but the photo of Collins has some color added to it. My question is do the variations with all red backgrounds always show players that are not fully black and white but show a tint of color ?

Edited to ad a scan from Old Cardboard. It seems as if the ones with all red backgrounds always have a bit of color added to the player's image.

I was going to bid on them as well. In the scans many looked VG-EX like the Tinker and Joss but with quality scans they look like they would grade out as 1s. Still a nice grouping.

Thank You BMW Sportscards. This card is not to be confused with another one offered on this forum by another member in the same grade. I just wanted to differentiate the two examples.

M131?

You found a 1910 Baltimore News card with a player that is not on the checklist on the back of each Baltimore News card?

Frank,

The price you paid struck me as astonishingly low for a Zeenut DiMaggio. Did you get a hell of a deal, or is this actually one of the few undervalued cards left in the world? I would have bid much more myself, but I'm saving up for other priorities.

Paul

I didnt expect to win it. I think is was fairly low because it was in the Minors category and maybe some didnt see it. Im not exactly sure what it is worth in its lower condition. Id been saving $$ all week not buying other cards, so I could put a good bid on it. Its the 1st big card I won lately. It seems I come in 2nd or 3rd alot. Im happy with it.

Hi Todd, NO it was spelled right. The seller also had a Vince DiMaggio and a Reese Zeenut as well. the funny thing is I thought Id win one of those before Id win the Joe.

The only reason I found them is I have a search especially for Zeenut & Obak cards I look at every couple days.

Did they spell Demaggio wrong in the auction description too? If so, that's a pretty costly mistake for the ol' search engine.
