Default Starting my first T set- T205

Posted By: Josh Adams

While perusing the Sun-Times show this weekend, I came across some beautiful T205 cards, reasonably priced. Because I wasn't able to find all the '33 Goudeys I needed, I decided to pick up 4 T205 commons and a PSA 4 Tinker.
Before I get more heavily involved in this set, are there any tips or pointers anyone can give me who has some knowledge on this set?
I have already hit the "search" button on the top of the homepage and say the thread by one of the Behrens brothers about different backs and such. Just thought I would post one more, being a vintage website, and all!

Thanks,
Josh

First thing youw ill want to do is a make a note of what all the tough cards are in the set. The search funstion should give you allthat info if enter something like "t205 tough". I've been away fromt he set to long to remember all the tough cards, but off the top of my head, Hoblitzel no stats, Sean (forget which version), Joss. Walsh is also a tough that gets overlooked.

I recommend picking up Joss, Young, Cobb, Matty, and Johnson ASAP. It'll save you $$$ in the long run.

besides the obvious t205 rarity(hobby no stats), here are a few other t205 toughies:

Wallace no cap, one line of 1910 stats
Gray w/ stats
Moran w/ stray line
Graham and Shean Cubs variations
Suggs
Raymond
Wagner
Wilhelm
Chase (one ear)

Some of the tougher (but not impossible) HOFers include Joss (as said earlier), Evers, Walsh, Collins (open mouth) and Bresnahan (open mouth).
