Does anyone have any knowledge of this issue other than the information that appears in the Standard Catalogue and/or scans of at least what one looks like?

Hi Phil, I sold one of these on ebay a year or so ago. Unfortunately I didn't keep any scans or photos. Wish I could help.

Rick

Phil,

There is a book floating around that I believe has all of the images of the woodcuts. If my memory serves me, the book was put out by Lew Lipset. I searched for one for many years, but gave up.

The book was published by Lipsett in 1984. Good luck finding one. I've only seen it for sale once, and it was gone by the time I called.

I have a copy of it, but I won't have access to it until I return from my vacation (in about ten days).

I don't know if this helps - but if you are talking about baseball woodcuts that appeared in the 19thC NY Clipper - it is available online at:

Leon- the funny thing is I am taking a vacation from a vacation, but due to the aggravation of trying to get the house rented, I'll need another vacation!
