New member from Jersey
Hey all,
Just recently started reading posts here and decided to get in on the fun. Been collecting cards since the late 60's, and just started to get interested in collecting t-206s. I bought one (Jack Barry) back in the 90's because it looked cool, and I am into history, but mostly collected 60s and 70s, with some newer sets thrown in. But, as I aged, realized that the pre war cards never seem to lose value, and are some of the most beautiful cards I have ever seen. My bucket list card is a 33 Goudey Ruth (should have bought one years ago I know...), but have purchased about 9 206s in the last month (Tris Speaker and Vic Willis among them). Looking forward to some advice on how to go about building a solid collection, but not sure how to approach it. Should I go by team, position, HOFamers, etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated. T206 cards are the right ones to collect....you will love 'em ...T206 hofers are always a blue chip bet......collecting by the teams are great also....you can try to obtain one of each type of back(very expensive, but very rewarding)....T206 printer's errors / oddities are becoming very popular. ... collect by player.....collect by a particular back brand(subsets)....so many ways to collect it.... The wagner fuels the set, so a solid cards to collect.... this web site will answer a ton of questions... T206resource.com and warning, this Net54 board and collecting these gets very addictive

There are a ton of ways to approach the set. Team subsets seem to be very popular.

Grew up in Millburn, lived in Middlesex, Short Hills, So Plainfield & Scotch Plains. Opened a store in Phillipsburg & went to school at Stockton St. & lived in Brigantine & Mystic Island while at school. Got married & was dragged to PA.
