Default Interesting PSA Label

How can this be a VG-EX 4 and Trimmed?

Card doesn't appear to be trimmed. Just a typo on the label. Pretty sloppy QC.

Maybe they are referring to only his name being trimmed down as manufactured?

I thought about that leon because of where it is but not sure I would have worded it that way when "trimmed" is almost like a reserved word on a flip.

Just looks kinda strange doesn't it?

Absolutely looks strange (confusing). If what we think is true they need to change the way they label an uncorrected error. Maybe something like "uncorrected error" instead of "trimmed"

The trimmed designation refers to this common version of Johnny, post-barber. The rarer, more valuable Johnny (Shaggy) is the one you want to keep an eye out for.

My guess is that PSA is now "hedging" their opinion to prevent anymore buybacks, yet at the same time assigning a numerical grade to satisfy the wants of registry collectors.

Lol, that would prevent anymore buybacks.

PSA/DNA to follow suit on autographs by giving everything a COA and sticker, but the COA says "Likely Not Genuine"

This is bizarre. There is a Johnny Lujack card on ebay in a PSA holder spelled "Jonny" and it doesn't mention anything about "trimmed" name or any other designation, just "Johnny Lujack."
For the life of me I can't figure out what the heck is going on with this card! Here's what the corrected card looks like.
