Default T213 question! Any help appreciated

Still pretty new to the tabacco card game with most my knowledge being in t206s but saw this in my LCS while picking up some new baseball to open. And knew enough to buy it once he gave me his price . I was in the market for a Cobb so I'm excited to add one to my collection but have heard everything from t213 type 2s are rare to they are not so any info from you fine folks would be much appreciated

nice pickup!

In general T213-2s are tougher than T206, but not tougher than the toughest-back T206. Probably somewhere in the middle like American Beauties or EPDGs?

The Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball cards, 4th edition (2014) rates a VG Cobb portrait at $1,600.
Surprisingly PSA SMR doesn't have prices for this set. Your best bet is to have someone with a VCP account get you the prices for PSA 1, 1.5, and 2s for comparison. Beautiful card, though.

Great looking card for the grade! With respect to the Coupon sets, the Type 1 and Type 3 cards are much tougher than the Type 2 cards.

Yeah that's what I've been seeing but then found a REA auction a bit ago talking about type 2s being a rareity as well . Figure this was the place to ask

Yeah saw what 2 sales looked like recently and wasn't sure if that was real deal

Of the 3 type coupons.. type 2 is the easiest to find.. it commands a premium over a normal T206 back such as SC or Piedmont.... but a middle of the road rare back such as Cycle 350 would be worth more then the type 2 in like condition.
