The Bender is the only one ever found isn't it?

What's the record $$$ amount for a baseball pin?

No doubt, but when you got at least two guys with what they think are complete sets and a new example shows up for sale it's going to be a shootout.

These are the two lots that I was hoping to win, but came up short on both. Prices seemed strong and I think that $18k has to be a record for a 5 level E94 Cobb. I knew that E94s were hot, even in this down economy, but wow!

Richard, that DiMag is an incredible card - I think my favorite in the whole auction.

The DiMaggio is not easy to find with the coupon. Great card.

Those Ornate pins as a lot sold for $92,500 before the juice!!!! These were found at a flea market in Arkansas. I wonder what the consignor payed for them?

The prices on the ornate frame pins are some of the craziest prices I have ever seen in my entire life. I hope the buyer never has to try to recoup any of his money on those!!!

Richard/Jeff/Barry:

Please refer to it as the D. Mag card from this point forward.

I came very close to NOT getting that card...saving my money for REA. If I would have done that, I would be empty-handed right now. The card I had my eye on in REA went way over the top. This is my only card out of the three auctions this weekend. In the end, there is not a card that I would have rather have had.

Cat, when I saw the price soar of your "REA card" I had hoped it wasn't you that had won it -- it was just a ridiculous price and I like your D. Mag better.

I took no part in that run up. I turned my attention to the T210 Stengel which also got crazy.

Both of your REA lots went nuts. I agree that you went nuts over the right lot. Just promise me that you will leave the next one alone.

For what it is worth, the dark green background is the most difficult of the 6 color variations of E94 Cobbs. Still, $18k for a 5 is a stretch...
