35 Years Old. Grand Forks, ND. Private CPA with tax work on the side. I collect t205's, and started with t202's. I became a father last week (daughter). I was given my first Ty Cobb (t202) this weekend as an early fathers day gift. I figure I will return the favor this mother's day with a Walter Johnson.

I'm a 32 year old nuclear engineer working at a commercial power plant in Illinois. First kid is on the way, which I have not even come close to grasping. I mainly collect modern and semi-vintage, but I'm working on a mid-grade N162 set (all 50) and dabble in pre-war football cards, Jim Thorpe baseball items, and any other pre-war football-related item that I think would look cool in my card room .

I am currently a network Engineer and spend most of my days in a Cisco PIX. My original passion is Dallas Cowboy football cards which I have parlayed into a nice part time income. The success of my Cowboy card site motivated me to create a Yankee card site which motivated me to learn more about vintage pre war cards so here I sit.

46, May 5th. Own a Carpet store (no glamour)in town, perhaps one of the nicest showrooms in the state of Michigan ,I advertise Michigan's Lowest Price and am doing quite well for a change.

Tell tale sign: great month buys cards
crappy month : sell cards/....man do I love this hobby !

Professions : an accomplished raggist, and an adjuster. I rag on people who do not act right and I adjust them accordingly.

Unlike most: I do not think Iam cool...never owned a pair of sunglasses til I was 43 (RAY BANS)...how I roll out, treat life as long as my heat is on and the food is hot , Iam blessed enough.

just turned 53. Ouch..Live in the Minneapolis area, on a large lake. Beautiful view each day. Hate the jet skis and the snowmobiles however. Very happily married. Two great kids. Both out of college. Yeah. Daughter was two time all conference high school shortstop, and one time all state shortstop. All conference shortstop in College. Son is working at Medtronics. Wife is pre school teacher. I was in commercial banking for 23 years. Retired, and am now President of my own real estate investment company. I collect mainly Jimmie Foxx related items. But do dabble a bit in Ruth, gehrig, and Hack Wilson. Even a bit of black Sox. I received an e mail from a national deale rwho we all know, asking me if I would be interested in a particular Foxx piece. Unreal...after I receive it, I will scan it. Neither him nor I had ever seen one like it. Too cool to comprehend. Can't say right now. Not made of paper....!!!! My office walls are almost completely covered in Foxx things. I also have about 70 original newsphotos and wire photos of Ruth, Foxx, gehrig, Williams, etc. etc. Cool to frame.

48 yrs young, commercial video editor/ voice-over announcer for 26 years. Happily married to a physical trainer (who wishes she could train ME!),
no offspring;we live in Greenpoint,Brooklyn.Lived pre-marriage days on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Can't wait to move upon retirement (hopefully by 55) to a small town (New Mexico or Texas, where my wife is from)and leave the big city behind!

I've been fascinated by this site for a long time;never posted;always lurked!
Recently got back into T 206 collecting after years away from it.Sold most of my grandfathers' and fathers' Goudey/tobacco cards back in the mid-80s (wish i hadn't).
It's come to this:This site and Old cardboard get a lot of my free time nowadays, which I don't have an awful lot of.
You folks make for some wonderful reading!

39 years young, 21 years in the Navy and am now a US Navy Lieutenant who came up through the enlisted ranks to make Electronic Technician Chief Petty Officer (SUBMARINES) then was commissioned as a Limited Duty Officer (Submarine Electronics). Live in La Maddalena, Italy and work as the Port Operations Officer, I get to play with 2 tug boats, 3 Landing Craft Mechanized, 7 fast response boats, 3 RHIB boats and 2 mooseboats and other cool stuff all day, not to mention the best sailors in the World work and play here.

Saw earlier in this post that one of the other members lives here as well, Zach S., I darn near fell out of my chair when I saw that. For those of you that do not know this place, it is a SMALL and I mean SMALL island north of Sardegna, Italy which is a large island that for the most part the rest of Italy hardly acknowledges as part of Italy. Take out a map and look us up, it is a flea in the big realm of things, but it is paradise to say the least.

Zach S. drop down to the Port Ops barge one day and introduce yourself. It would be good to meet up with a fellow collector.

Ciao'

39 and I will be turning 40 in less than a month.

I own a video store and we will be going on to our 22nd year this summer...take that Blockbuster!!!

Of course I think everyone knows already that I collect all Nebraska related baseball memorabilia pre 1960s.

PS Bob I have found the Longhorn fans to be some of the nicest in the Big XII - of course y'all's rivalry with them goes back much further than ours. If you want to discuss WORST fans in the world you would be talking about Colorado Buffalo fans. They had to have the entire student section removed from the football game against Nebraska 2 years ago in Boulder before the game could resume. It is the only venue in the Big XII I will not go to.

41 years young; recently relocated from New York City to Santa Cruz, CA. I sell collectibles on eBay for a living for the past 8 years. I collect green pieces of paper with pictures of dead famous people on them. I love learning about vintage cards, and pick them up at auctions as a result of what I have learned from the people on this board.

I, like Leon am a technology consultant; focusing on Unified Communications and wireless technologies, but I work with the commercial/SMB market, not the big guys in Madison, WI. Even though they bowed out in the 2nd round I am a huge Badgers fan (95' BA).

I'm 33, wife and two beautiful kids - a son(4) & daughter(1).

I'm guessing my sales would be at least double if I had never found this board and spent so much time viewing it on a weekly basis.

Bob,

I appreciate the comment about us being loud, rude and obnoxious. It takes a lot of effort to rise to that level. Apparently we're going to have to try a little harder to push past the Longhorn fans.

I've been dealing with cards (for fun) for the last 20 years, I got hooked on the Monster (t206) for the last 6-9 months or so. I've got about 30 cards psa 4-7. It will probably take the next 20 years to finish but it is very enjoyable, I read just about everything on this board, I just don't post much. I also own a video store (14years) in Wisconsin. Take that Netflix!!

Turning 31 in May. Married with a daughter 17 months old and two stepkids, a girl and a boy 12 and 10.

I'm a estimator/project manager for a construction company in Atlanta. My main area of work is with Full Depth Reclamation of roads in poor condition..not that anyone here would know what that means...however on the outside chance someone here is in the southeast US and is a county or city engineer or roads director...let me know! Ha Ha

39, I am a third generation trust funder, living off of the interest.(JK) I wish! I own a small tree and landscape company that services the North fork of Long Island and Westhampton to Hampton Bays.
