Default Adding slabs to my PSA registry set that already show up in another set

I hope I'm in the right forum........ I am a newbie on the set registry front and I am setting up my 1959 Fleer 3 stooges set. Some recently acquired cards are part of other sets. I have sent a "request" through PSA to ask the owner to remove the card from their set registry. No luck. Since I now have possession of that slab can I use that as evidence to add to my set ?
Thanks
Russ

Default contact PSA

Email PSA with front and back scans of the cards and they will free up the cards for you to register them.

Bingo. Usually PSA asks that you wait 3 days from sending the email. Otherwise, my experience is that PSA will release the cert same day.

Just a point of clarification . . .

You do not need to email PSA to complete the process -- and no need to wait days. When you send the removal request, i.e., attempt to add a card to your registry that is currently in another's, the system "opens" the request on your registry dashboard. You will see each under "Removal Requests Sent." You then can upload the scans to that specific request to complete [your part] of the process. Then it might take PSA a couple days to finalize. It is also possible that, in the meantime, the prior owner will remove the card from his/her registry.

+1

I usually wait a few days if I don't have scans handy (or forget) but no need to email PSA. You can do it as stated above.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I had waited a few weeks after requesting that the prior owner remove the cards. After reading your replies I sent F/B scans of the cards (17 in all) to PSA this morning.
By late this afternoon the numbers were freed up.
Case closed !!

How does this work now that scans (for newer slabs) can be downloaded from the PSA website?

I use the app on my phone...much quicker and simpler than scanning and going via the PC. Knocked out a stack of 30 out in less than 10 minutes using the app. I just place a scrap of paper with my handle and date next to each card.
