Default More Changes at SGC?

Hello everyone,

A few random questions about SGC. I've not heard lately from customer service manager Joe DelGrippo, is he still with the company? Also, with the re-vamping of the registry does anyone know if there are plans to give "extra credit" to those with JSA/SGC autographed cards or provenanced (Nagy, Lionel Carter) cards?

I think it would be a great idea. If a card is good anyone to have certification or provenance...

What about all the collectors who don't care about provenance?

If SGC feels a card is special enough to warrant some kind of notation or certification on the flip then it should get some kind of benefit on the registry.

Don't you pay for the privilege? I thought that this "pedigree" on the flips was something a person would pay for and not at the discretion of the grading companies.

Joe is no longer with the company and Michael Goldberg is back in customer service. I think Joe did a great job and got to know him a little bit at the Oaks show. I certainly wish him well in his future endeavors. It's also great to have Michael back too.

Jeez, Joe didn't last very long with SGC. I thought he was fantastic in his short tenure there. Very professional and extremely helpful. Sorry to see him go.

Best,

Andy

In the interim between Michael returning I graded a batch of cards with SGC. I dropped the cards off to a friendly older gentleman and when I returned to my business I received a phone call that my credit card was declined. I was told SGC attempted 5 times. I said that was strange and called my credit card company to make sure no one got a hold of my card. The card was fine but was hit 5 times with identical charges from SGC . I called back to rectify the situation but the individual I spoke to didn't seem to believe me and was agitated. He said it did not go through, period. When I spoke to JSA directly they apologized and said they were having credit card problems and would reimburse the additional charges. They handled it smoothly, not quite sure who I actually spoke to at SGC but it was not stellar customer service.
