Default Baseball card supply question- help requested

Posted By: Bob

Is there an album page size which will contain the "square-type" card? I saw Ultra-Pro has a nine pocket page, is that as close as you can get to a page for the cards like 1938 goudeys, ramlys, tattoo orbits, etc?
Thanks,
tbob

I have mine in a Ultra Pro nine-pocket page. It is not the snuggest fit but I put them in plastic sleeves first, which nicely takes up the slack, and they don't slip if the binder is held upside down. They haven't suffered any corner damage or creases from it.

*edited to add that the same technique works with '39 Play Ball and that type too.

Paul, thanks. When you mention "plastic sleeves" do you mean the lightweight "penny sleeves" or the "Card Saver I" type holders?

HI Bob,

I use the Card Savers and cut them to fit the 9 pocket pages.

Bob -- I mean penny sleeves. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Also, it's nice when you want to remove a card because obviously you just grab the penny, not the card itself. Then you scan it while still inside the penny, post it to show us how nice it is, and put it back! Viola!

Thanks Paul and Joe, I'll figure out if that is the way to go with the Goudeys, cracking open the slabs.
