Breathtaking T206 Green Portrait Ty Cobb.
Can we drain the Battlefield swamp already?
It's so phenomenal that previous buyer paid $3054 and said it was deemed altered/trimmed by PSA and seller didn't care Green Portrait is posted again!!! Ughhhhhh Last edited by VintageBen; 03-17-2017 at 06:35 AM. |

Ppl will still buy Battlefield's card and be happy if they were honest. Just seems like a waste of money shipping the same cards back and forth and refunding their money.

I am guessing that this card never actually left their mailbox and it was returned on feedback observances. There has to be something that can be done about this person. This person takes a very smart and diabolical approach to their fraud. |

Possibly the high bidder from that last sale never paid for the card and never intended to pay. Maybe a disgruntled customer decided to mess with this auction. I'm sure that there are plenty of those around.

Photoshop
I shared these on the original post about Battlefield0516 a few years ago, but for reference and/or anyone asking what they do specifically, etc - these were examples of cards purchased by them (on the left) and shortly thereafter put back out for sale (their scans on the right) with the usual "PHENOMENAL" language. This was when it was easier on eBay to see what they purchased and turned on (eBay has since made that more difficult) Most of these were in low/mid-grade holders and/or Authentic - cracked out and resold as .. well .. something quite a bit more "BREATHTAKING!!!" #licebag

That clears that up .
A picture paints a 1000 words . Errors photoshopped away .

You have to give them credit for being so good at PhotoShopping. They could probably do better teaching classes on how to use PhotoShop.

question
Is Battlefield an internet only entity or do they have a brick and mortar store? Do they set up at shows? It would be interesting to talk to them if they set up at the National.

It really is a special kind of fraud. They mask it well in a sea of acceptable low dollar cards to stay off of the radar and have plausible deniability.
Hopefully the hammer comes down and flushes this rat of hiding. They will never be able to do the same thing at a card show and without EBay they would be forced to use an auction house online who would take proper pictures. |

Hopefully they have success and we can finally say goodbye to her for good!

I am 100% sure they paid less than half in graded form what the card is selling for raw. They stupidly think that someone wants to spend $3,000-$4,000 on the card and wish to keep it raw. That is the only way the scam works on that card. Unfortunately for them, someone spending that much money IS NOT wanting to keep it raw. Their greed cost them on that particular item.

wow...
Pretty crazy stuff...
They're certainly not the only seller that participates in such behavior. I recently sold a really nice looking HOF rookie, that PSA wouldn't grade (N4 - Minimum Size.) I know grading is subjective, and heck, the card could've graded if I sent it in again - but frustrated with it all, I listed it on eBay, with full disclosure. I even included a scan of PSA's "MINSIZE" label. It sold for under $70. The buyer currently has it listed for sale as "Pack Fresh" and it has a $200 bid. Money trumps everything and some people will continue to participate in such activities as long as they can get away with it. Todd M@ncuso |

This is what they send with their packages to help minimize the number of claims against them. It also shows how to directly contact them outside of EBay so that communications are 'off of the grid'.

I had a funny thought about Battlefield's Green Cobb yesterday. The next person to buy it should take it to the Pawn Stars with a printout of the ebay listing and see if they will buy it. I think if people see the blue background on the card they might start catching onto Battlefield's selling tactics, or the Pawn Stars can get stuck with the card probably forever. And if they don't buy it you can leave negative feedback claiming the card was so bad that the Pawn Stars don't even want it. Even better would be if Rick calls in his buddy from PSA to look at the card and tell the whole world how bad the card is.
