Default Grading question

Posted By: Pete Z.

There is a card I am interested in that has damage to the reverse from having been removed from an album -- the remains of a small piece of tape, along with some paper loss. My question is whether SGC would holder the card with the piece of tape there. I had a similar question re a t206 I had with a piece of tobacco stuck to it that SGC refused to holder (see inserted picture).

Thanks,
Pete

...of not holdering a card because of tape or tobacco gunk. I've had lots of T206 cards holdered by SGC with tape or other stuff on them. They don't grade particularly well, but they grade...

by SGC that if a card has tape on the back or front they will grade it a 10, if its tape holding a piece together then it will get a AUT.

I have a long-holdered T207 with a tiny spot of tape in a SGC20 holder, but think they're now pretty much consistently treating tape as paper loss and "10"...

dave,
that rudolph is very nice. i owned it at one time with about 10 other epdg that all suffered from the same clear spot of tape on the back. i sent them all to psa and most came back 2's.
very nice, affordable cards with a minor back issues.
i hope you enjoy it as much as i did.
regards,
andy
