Default $5 Entry ~ T206 Hal Chase Raffle (Drawing Friday Night)

THIS IS A PAID AD

Each day competitive gaming (E-Sports) is increasing its “market share” of sorts among traditional
sports. Worldwide, top competitive video game players are emerging as distinguished, recognizable
names in their sector. At one time, nearly every kid played baseball. The youth wanted to be like
Mickey, Willie, Teddy, Sandy, Jackie… However, for better or worse, times have changed. A not-so-deep
examination of today's children and young adults will reveal they have shifted their interest from live
sports to digital gaming.

But what does this have to do with cards?

My brother Andrew, immensely talented graphic artist and full time video game zealot, has taken it
upon himself to begin development of trading cards featuring professional and amateur players of the
“Super Smash Brothers” game collective, which is published by Nintendo. His first wave of cards,
shaping up to be a 60 card set, features all original artwork of the players themselves along with the
characters they use in the game. Each card represents approximately 8 hours of work done entirely
from scratch by Andrew himself. The painstaking detail in the final product is undeniable.

This is the first time my little brother, the modest, hyper-talented artist is putting out a product for
public consumption. I'm not sure if this will be a lucrative venture for him, but it is absolutely
something to be proud of. I want to support him as best I can. My own interest in gaming and wicked
obsession with trading cards naturally motivates me to help.

A GoFundMe is set up to offset the production and development costs (and sacrifices) to materialize this
inaugural set.

Now here’s the fun part: I will be raffling off this T206 Hal Chase card which is somewhere in the range
of GOOD+ to GEM MINT See the pictures below for exact condition.

Every $5 (or multiples of $5) donated to the GoFundMe page will receive one entry. Please put "net54”
and your net54 username as the donor. I will list the paid entries in this thread as they come in. The
drawing will be held the night of Friday, May 22nd

I will gladly share more details and show off the finished product when it is available. Thanks to
everyone in advance. The world needs to experience my brother's hard work and talent.

Good Luck!

Interesting concept. Most of these things go to a kickstarter with rewards for donations at different levels. This does not include any sets or anything as part of the donation; we're just defraying costs, right?
Upper Deck has already created some sets of games they sell on the ePack site. I actually bought a redemption card for a game-worn player autographed jersey; didn't cost much, and when it gets redeemed, it might be interesting to sell when people can picture what it is.
Are there any risks with licensing since you're including images of the characters? Or because they're redrawn, they count as artistic license? I'll kick five in now and see how it progresses. Looks like it's about to hit the fundraising goal.

Thanks for you entries. All the art is completely reworked and the players all gave consent. Regardless, we are going to pass it by the family lawyer before we stick a fork in it
