Default PSA T206 Back Registry set active

Good News for T206 back collectors...after many emails back and forth with PSA they have added a T206 basic back set of 15 cards to the registry...it is listed as 1909-11 T206 Backs...I requested the words "basic backs" in the original title, but at this point, Im just glad they agreed to get the sub set active. Keep in mind that only cards that have the back listed on the flip will appear in the set when added. Time to get some cards re-holdered now!

That's very cool. Kudos to you, and kudos to PSA.

Why wouldn't they do it, another excuse to send cards in they have already holdered, plus SGC has had this option for at least a year and a half. Just keeping up with the Joneses and making business sense with little added time.

Default a question

I am just curious if they will be re-holdering the cards for free to help their registry?

I think it's $5.00 for the reholder and new description insert.

If that is the case I think it's a very fair price to participate. Kudo's to PSA for that.....(just my personal opinion)

It was $5 at last year's National; it went up to $10 in Chicago.

very cool, great work!

if only they had this back registry about 4 years ago when i had most of the brands in PSA 8's & 9's

p.s. is it weighted based on difficulty--->BL 460 vs. 350? brown old mill vs. black?

Default T206 backs registry

Yes, great idea. I have a group of these I just registered as well.

Unfortunately they can't distinguish between a BL350 vs. BL460 or a Red Hindu vs. a Brown Hindu. PSA doesn't track T206 back types in any detail. There are only 15 'types' and all are weighted equally. A little disappointing, but it's still a fun group to collect.

I realize that they haven't distinguished between specific series (eg 350 vs 460) on their flips, and therefore can't distinguish between them for the backs registry, but they could still weight the values between the different brands. eg Piedmont shouldn't carry the same weight as Hindu since they differ in both price and availability.

Just registered my T206s for the back set -- thought there'd be more people listing their sets there.

Does SGC have a similar set registry for the various T206 backs? My T206 collection is mostly PSA but has a good number (~30%) of SGCs, so I would register my cards there too if they did.

Thanks,
--S

I thought about weighting the backs and probably could still get it done. Here is what I was going to submit to PSA, but am open to suggestions:

Piedmont 1
Sweet Cap 1
Sovereign 1
Old Mill 1
Polar Bear 1
Cycle 2
American Beauty 2
Tolstoi 2
EPDG 2
Hindu 2
Carolina Brights 3
Broad Leaf 3
Lenox 4
Uzit 4
Drum 4

Thoughts?

Default Backs Registry

I doubt they would take advice from us, but I'd give more weight to the toughest backs:

Piedmont 1
Sweet Cap 1
Sovereign 1
Old Mill 1
Polar Bear 1
Cycle 2
American Beauty 2
Tolstoi 2
EPDG 2
Hindu 3
Carolina Brights 5
Broad Leaf 6
Lenox 7
Uzit 8
Drum 8
