Default Legendary Lot 1050 -- Dietsche PC set

Based on the description for this set it would seem to suggest that the cards are dated to the first year of the run (1907) due to the existence of writing on the front:

"While the Dietsche issue was sold over the period 1907 through 1909, we believe that all of these date to their initial (1907) appearance; last names appear on the fronts of all." In fact, the writing is just that -- someone writing on the card after the cards were created, having nothing to do with the dating.

I didn't get that impression from the writeup...or I guess it just seemed obvious to me that the writing was placed by it's owner?!

It should be -- but it doesn't mention that the writing is 'handwritten' and the mention of it is directly after the dating of the cards. Strange writeup for an inconsequential lot.

Inconsequential? I beg to differ!!! There are some on this board who feel the "rare" dietsche cobb fielding postcard is a potential 100K card...with the writing...atleast 20-30K...in no time at all!

On a more serious note...this card is underrated...probably undervalued by many...and is very desirable. I want one!!!!!

The PC's are 1907. The writing is post-production and seriously diminishes the value.
