Posted By: TONY galovich

I saw a t-206 lot on ebay today & the seller was offering a
COA from a steve j klimek
i hope i got the name right as it was in tiny print on his COA
he has a bloomington MN address but NO ph # listed
he labeled himself as A
"sports authority"

I never heard of him
anyone trust his opinion?

my friend wanted to bid n asked me to ask around

COA's from strangers don't seem to be of much value these days

I have heavily involved in sports memorabilia in general in the Minneapolis area for over 20 years and do not know who that is. Bloomington is a suburb of Mpls. For what it's worth

COAs from known sources shouldn't have much value on ALL days.

I don't even know what a COA does for raw T206 cards. Either the cards are genuine or they are reprints. Either they are trimmed or they are unaltered. If you provide a link, I'm sure the board can chime in with their opinion and it will be at least as good as Mr. Klimek's.

Regards,
Scott

He is listed as president of the below company/site. The site says it guarantees originality and is a member of the Better Business Bureau alliance. Perhaps he includes an originality guarantee with every lot sold, and there's nothing wrong with that.
