Default Who can tell me about LL Cook Postcards?

Posted By: Jeff

Not sure if they are prewar or not.

I had a guy say he had some of these but does not know when they are from.
I should have asked who he had but he said he had a Senator so it is at least pre 70's

What are they?

When were they produced?

Who is in the set?

Is it a team issue or a regional set?

Any help would be appreciated

We added an L.L. Cook postcards listing to the Standard Catalog several editions back, and had a few checklists additions over the next couple of books. I see in the 2009 SCBC, there are 26 black-and-white cards listed, all Milwaukee Braves or Brewers. The company was a Milwaukee outfit. I've never heard of a Washington player having been produced, but it is possible. These appear to have been along the lines of J.D. McCarthy PCs, sold to the players to answer fan requests.
