Default T206 Double Prints

IS it possible that some of the cards other than the 6 "Super Prints" were double printed. Examples that come to mind are the Donlin, Fielding (especially compared to the other 150 only series cards) in the 150 series and the Ford & Duffy in the 460 series. Those are 3 of the cards that come to mind that seem to be more plentiful in my years of buying T206s.

Regarding T206 Double-Prints (DP).....it appears to depend on the series and the T-brand. My experience collecting AMERICAN BEAUTY's and
SOVEREIGN's indicates that these 460-only series subjects....Devore, Duffy, and Ford....must have been DP.

Lee,

Abstein, Maddox, D. Miller and Phillippe appear to have been printed in larger numbers than other 350-only subjects, probably due to the Pirates win in the '09 World Series. The PSA pop report provides support for this theory.

I don't necessarily agree about Donlin (Fielding)--the PSA pop report shows him to be as just as difficult as the other 150-only subjects. The 150-only that I see most often is Powers--especially with the SC 150/649 back. In my eBay study, he showed up 3X as often as any other SC 150/649.

Thanks Scot and Ted,

I have to agree on the Devore for most backs (having collect Cycle 460 for some reason he is not easy). The Pirate list is interesting since my experience the Dots Miller wasn't tough but the rest seemed like regular commons, but does make sense.

I think that the AB 460 has some cards that were probably double printed, since it is not tough to find an individual subject but to find a certain subject can be difficult. Same probably goes for most tough backs but with the lower subject matter I think it would make this more possible.

From history of collecting the Cycle 460s there definately are some individual cards that are tougher to find then others.
